Spring was mild and 1.5°C cooler than last spring. Rainfall was three times the amount we received last season during spring, and 1.5 times the long term average.
Summer was 1.4°C warmer than average but only two very hot days over 30°C and these were early in the summer and did not damage fruit.
Rainfall was above average but almost half the rain fell over the Christmas/New Year period. Summer was a very windy period with strong winds more frequent than usual.
Autumn was warm and dry with only a couple of rainy days with more than 5mm of rain. One very warm day in March one week before vintage.
Chardonnay was picked for sparkling on 21 March and Pinot noir on 5 April.
