Wine tasting at the vineyard

Come taste our range of wines at the vineyard! Our tastings are led by a member of the Rochford family, and we try to cover the full range of our wines, including all varietals and styles.

We typically start with our latest sparkling release, then compare different years of our Riesling, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir releases, finishing with our refreshing alcohol-free Verjuice. It’s a relaxed time, and we usually take around an hour from start to finish.

We are open by appointment for wine tastings from 10am to 5pm daily (last tasting at 4pm). You can select any available time in our calendar to reserve your tasting (we usually prefer two days notice, so contact us if your preferred time is not available).

All people participating in the tasting must be at least 18 years of age, under Tasmanian law.

Our tasting fee (AUD$16.50 per person, inc GST) is payable after the tasting, but is waived with the purchase of any bottle of wine (we have some stock available at the vineyard, or we can arrange shipping/local delivery). We can comfortably seat groups up to around 12 people.

We also partner with local wine tour operators, including StelaVino Wine Tours and Derwent Experience, if you are planning to visit a number of vineyards in the Derwent Valley region. Our location is ideal for tasting on your way into the Derwent Valley.

We are proud to support local wine industry events like Spring in the Vines and Open Vineyard Weekend, usually offering a vertical tasting of each of our varietals in addition to our traditional tasting (we don’t take advance bookings on these weekends).
